Elections for Maharashtra and Haryana elections
Elections for Maharashtra and Haryana elections are currently underway. These elections are being held to select state legislative assemblies in Maharashtra and Haryana. While the BJP and its allies will want to retain power in both states, protesters hope to turn the tables by taking advantage of any opposition.
The polls for Haryana’s 90 seats and 288 seats in Maharashtra start at 7 pm and will continue till 6 pm. The voting will take place on October 24.

Harayana Presidential Election 2019: Good points
In Harayana, elections of the Assembly will see a close competition between the BJP, Congress, Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Jannayak Janta Party (JJP).
In Maharashtra, the BJP is negotiating with the Shiv Sena. Congress is voting in the Nationalist Congress Party.
Among the most prominent in Maharashtra are Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and his predecessors from Congress – Ashok Chavan (Bhokar in Nanded district), and Prithviraj Chavan.
Among the prominent people in the Haryana election were Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former President Bhupinder Singh Hooda, JJP’s Dushyant Chautala, and INLD’s Abhay Singh Chautala.
